On a December subzero day in my home studio on
Madeline Island, five creative souls braved the cold temperatures to attend my first Byzantine Bracelet Chainmail class. With a fire flickering in the background and jewelry tools in hand, these Island Elves learned a basic byzantine chainmail technique and how to turn sterling silver jump rings into lovely bracelets.
With a set of simple jewelry pliers  and pile of jump rings, anyone with a little patience and desire can create  a beautiful bracelet.
I cannot wait to see the completed  pieces.

Interested in hosting a Jewelry class at your next special gathering, weekend get-a-way or celebration?
This is the perfect class for an intimate group of beginning jewelers. All supplies and materials are provided.
Bracelets can be made in either sterling silver or copper.

Contact me, Elizabeth Ellis, to book your class.
3 week advance planning and preferred materials deposit is required.
Classes are 3 hours and require no special setting other than good light and a flat surface.
Don’t have your own tools? No worries…  jewelry tools are available for purchase w/class

“Creative activity could be described as a type of learning process where teacher and pupil are located in the same individual.”
— Arthur Koestler
